Reflecting on the No Kings Protest |
It’s been almost one week since coming together as a community for the No Kings Protest, and the energy still resonates.
Wasatch Back residents stood shoulder to shoulder with millions across the country on Flag Day—a day that honors the adoption of our nation’s symbol of freedom. But beyond the stars and stripes, we remembered what the flag truly represents: the people’s power to challenge injustice and reject tyranny.
This same day also marks the birthday of the U.S. Army, a reminder that America’s founding wasn’t about parades or pageantry—it was about standing up against kings. That legacy lives on in our rallying cry: No Thrones! No Crowns! No Kings!
The No Kings Protest was a powerful moment of civic solidarity. With a strong turnout here in Heber and across the country, we came together to reject systemic injustice and affirm our belief in a more equitable future.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, raised their voice, and stood for something bigger than themselves. Change isn’t just necessary—it’s possible when we move together.
But the work doesn’t stop here. Read on to find out how you can take action at the local and state level—through organizing, advocacy, and showing up for issues that matter right here in Utah. Together, we’re building momentum—and we need you in the movement. |

Public Lands at Risk—Your Voice Is Needed |
Proposals in Congress could open millions of acres of Utah public lands to private sale and development. One House bill targeting over 500,000 acres was defeated—but a Senate version, introduced by Sen. Mike Lee, is still in play. These efforts threaten recreation access, wildlife, and local economies.
📣 Take action by contacting your representatives and supporting local conservation groups.
